Pawel grew up in Poland and matriculated in 1998. He attended Wroclaw Medical University, where he graduated with an MBChB in 2004. After completing his internship in 2006, he emigrated to South Africa, where he started working as a Medical Officer at Port Shepstone Regional Hospital. There, he obtained his Diploma in Obstetrics in 2010 and his Diploma in Anaesthesia in 2011. He then continued his medical officer training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.
Pawel joined the UCT Anaesthesia training programme in May 2019, where he excelled in all departments. He obtained his Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists (FCA SA) in 2023 and has since been working as a Specialist Anaesthetist in the private sector and joined Southern Anaesthetics on 1 June 2024.
Pawel enjoys all aspects of anaesthesia but is passionate about general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, orthopaedics, and vascular surgery.
